st armands art festival   Whether you live her in Sarasota resident, a visitor or just passing through Sarasota, you should mark your calendar to make sure you don't miss the 11th version of the St. Armands Circle Art Festival in January each year. And, there's no admission charge for this outstanding arts festival.

Casual visitors to the festival and serious art collectors alike will get to meet and chat with the selected artists and the opportunity to purchase original art pieces.  Works will be displayed across a wide array of media including digital, fiber, glass, oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings, photography, printmaking, sculpture and wood.

During the two days, you will see and enjoy the works of some of the most talented artists and crafters from all over the country. Some of the favorite artsists from previous years will be displaying their newest creations alongside some new of the talents on the contemporary craft scene.  One-of-a-kind jewelry, pottery, plant holders, and more will be on display and for sale.

The St. Armands Art Festival is a competitive show limited to 180 exhibitors chosen by a highly qualified and experienced, 2D and 3D arts and crafts jury.

Year after year, this annual St. Armands Circle Art Festival makes the list of Sunshine Artist Magazine's top art shows in the country. Again this year, the St Armands Circle Festival is being presented by Howard Alan Events & American Craft Endeavors, a well-known and respected producer of juried arts and crafts festivals.

If you are new to Sarasota, to get to picturesque St Armands Circle, take Interstate I-75 exit 210 (Fruitville Rd.) to US Route 41 (the Tamiami Trail). Turn left and then right onto Gulfstream Blvd which will take you across the John Ringling Causeway to the Circle.

If you are a visitor to Sarasota, you may want to take a bit of time that same weekend to take a tour of St Armands and Lido Key. Lido Key is one of Sarasota's larger barrier islands where you'll find elegant homes and luxurious condos separated from the Sarasota mainland by St. Armands Circle and the Ringling Causeway and from Longboat Key by a short bridge. All of the homes and condos on Lido Key are either on or just a short walk from the white sands and warm waters of its Gulf of Mexico beaches.
